Visual Appearance Like all Doraddi of the Pamaltelan plains, he is a tall, dark-skinned Agimori. He wears practical, minimal clothing suited for the blistering heat of the veldt, such as a simple leather or cotton loincloth and an animal hide cloak. As a follower of Vangono, Pamalt's bravest warrior and the "Spear Man", he incorporates the god's sacred colors of red and yellow into his garments, beads, or body paint. His skin bears ritual scarification denoting his maternal lineage (his "First Drinker" ancestor), alongside the bold tattoos of his martial cult.
Personality and Code He is a fierce protector of his people, embodying Vangono’s core passions: he is highly Direct, Decisive, and Loyal. While normal hunters might rely purely on stealth and patience to provide meat for the tribe, an Initiate of Vangono is a frontline shock-trooper who believes he is destined to eventually die in glorious battle. Above all, his behavior is dictated by a strict and unwavering cult taboo: he must never refuse a challenge.
Weapons and Gear He travels light, carrying his belongings rolled inside a blanket slung diagonally over his shoulder. He shuns metal, instead wielding traditional Doraddi weapons made of wood, stone, and bone. His primary weapon is a stabbing spear with a knapped flint head, supported by several javelins hurled with a throwing loop (atlatl). For defense, he carries a lightweight hide shield adorned with tassels and painted with tribal runes.
Magic His initiation into Vangono's cult grants him access to devastating, aggressive magics. He can call upon his god's power to literally breathe fire upon his enemies. He will eventually learn the most feared blessing is the Soulspear Rune spell, which wreathes his spearhead in a weird, translucent black flame that drains the magical essence of anyone it strikes. As a seasoned hunter of the plains, he also knows the Peaceful Cut ritual, ensuring that the beasts he slays die without fear and are butchered with proper respect |
