The Encounter Generator has moved. The new address is http://skoll.xyz/mythras_eg/. The tool is now also rebraded as Mythras Encounter Generator. Behind the scenes, the Django-platform was upgraded from 1.5 to 1.8, and the PDF/PNG export tool was changed from wkhtmltopdf to Weasyprint.

JSON interface (Jan. 10, 2016)

If you can do a bit of programming and want to format the output yourself, you can read the data in json-format using the url http://skoll.xyz/mythras_eg/generate_enemies_json/?id=<template_id>&amount=<amount>. E.g. http://skoll.xyz/mythras_eg/generate_enemies_json/?id=1778&amount=2. The list of all templates is available at http://skoll.xyz/mythras_eg/index_json/.

Filtering out (June 12, 2014)

You can now filter Templates out using the Search functionality by adding a '-' before the search term. For example to see all Monster Island creatures, except the ones that are related to sea, enter "Monster Island -sea" (without the quotes).

Added possibility to filter by rank to the Home-page search.

Cults (April 18, 2014)

Added support for cults. A cult is basically a collection of spells and spirits. The spells of the cult are added to the generated enemy.

New home page (March 29, 2014)

The home page has been redesigned to scale better with the growing amount of templates. It's now a light-weight landing page with search functionality. In addition, if the user is logged in, it shows the favorite/starred templates of the user.

Favorites (March 18, 2014)

New feature: You can star templates to mark them as favorites. To see all your starred templates, use the filter. Note! You need to register and log in for the feature to be available.

Editable notes (March 16, 2014)

Now also notes (both party notes and enemy notes) can be edited. You probably need to hit F5 once to refresh javascript for the feature to work.

Editable enemy names (March 9, 2014)

You can now edit the names of generated enemies by clicking on the name.

Added "Do you feel lucky?" -button. Clicking the button will generate 6 instances of a randomly picked enemy based on the current filter.

Mysticism (Dec. 1, 2013)

Added support for mysticism. To start creating mystics, create a new template, add the skills Meditations and Mysticism to it and select the talents. If you can't see the talent list after adding the skills, hit F5 to force the browser to reload javascript.

Elementals (Nov. 30, 2013)

Added support for elementals. To create a new elemental, select Elemental from the race list. Note: The calculation of the elemental hit points relies on POW being entered in format used in the rulebook, eg. 1d6+12 for Intensity 4.

Enemy/NPC names (Nov. 24, 2013)

Added support for NPC random names. When specifying the template, you can select a namelist for the template. When the enemies are being generated based on the template, each enemy gets a random name from the list. Current lists include names for Orlanthi, Monster Island residents and Generic Fantasy, and more are on their way. If you have a name list you'd like to add, drop me a note.

Added support for generic additional features. To add an additional feature to your template, select it from the list, click add and give it some probability. Note, that you can add one feature several times. Currently only admins and selected superusers can create new Feature specifications.

Chaotic features (Oct. 21, 2013)

Added simple support for chaotic features. Simple support means, that the monsters with a chaotic feature only get a text description of the feature. Possible modifications to Characteristics, skills or other attributes are not included in the stats.

Templates can be tagged now. When adding a tag, a list of existing tags is shown. Filtering was changed to happen based on tags.

Support for animism (Oct. 6, 2013)

Added the skills Binding and Trance to the templates and support for spirits. Spirits are otherwise normal enemy templates, except that they have Spirit for race. The Spirit-race lacks the physical attributes. Spirits can be associated with animists the same way as sorcerers and theists get their spells.

Hide irrelevant spells (Oct. 5, 2013)

Irrelevant spells for the npc are hidden in the template edit view. If the template doesn't have Shaping, Exhort or Folk Magic skill, Sorcery spells, Theistic miracles and Folk magic spells are hidden respectively.
